Holding the Space —
Amoukanama
With SKWAIR (pronounced like the English word “square”), Be Flat once again enters the public space. It is a 360° circus performance in the form of a street event that takes place on a large open concrete square.
SKWAIR offers a collective experience in which the audience, the scenography, and the performers merge into a singular and distinctive whole.
SKWAIR also includes a site-specific preparatory phase, under the subtitles BEEP and CUISTAX.

BEYONDSIEN
Starting in 2026, whale Echo and the explorers Adrien, Gerlache, and El Capitan will astonish audiences with a spectacular show. The production combines a traveling circus parade with a stationary, intimate interlude. The undisputed eye-catcher: Echo the Whale, who swims high and gracefully above the crowd like a gigantic wooden automaton - an independently operating machine. He moves on a mechanically powered cart, with his gears and transmissions impressively exposed. A creature like that in the streets? You simply have to follow it. Is the audience ready to embark on this adventure?

FATAL CIRQUE
Pijnmoe (Paintired) is a solo about a chronic pain and fatigue patient, who dreams of becoming a circus artist once again. It’s a blend of circus acts - visual metaphors for the struggle - and tragicomic stories drawn from my own life.
Although the show throws the raw reality of chronic pain and fatigue strait into your face, it brings this heavy theme on a very light, entertaining and comical way.
“I’ve never laughed that much with chronic pain”, said a pain professor after a try out.

PoleDuo Salami
How much impact do you believe you have on your present and future? And how will that translate into thoughts, words and actions? The world seems to be shifting and our societies are mostly dominated by fear and uncertainty. However, withing the chaos lies the opportunity to participate in the reconstruction and transformation of our world.
With the project, Amoukanama starts a quest to find the visions and hope for our future, both as an individual and a collective. They focus on young people from vocational education background and through a participatory creation process want to give a platform to their voices. They will research just how far that participation can go before and during the performance and how we can build in real time, youngsters, audience and professional artists, a new world… In this way, we hope to reach and inspire young people to believe in their dreams and continue working towards a hopeful future by being present every day and show up for themselves and their communities.

Be Flat
Fluffy World Domination is an outdoor circus performance in which a clown unleashes a plush rebellion. On a miniature tightwire, built on a tower several meters high, she calls to arms for uncompromising inclusiveness. Accompanied by an army of 100 automated cuddly bunnies and puppies, and dressed in inflatable costumes that literlly take up more space than what seems socially '“acceptable'“, she creates an absurdly fluffy universe. This is a manifesto for softness as resistance. Fluffiness as a survival strategy. Love as a revolutionary act. Radical acceptance for yourself and for others. An invitation to everyone who is too much, too soft, too different to join a revolution where fluffiness is not a weakness, but a tactic.

LA PLANCHE is an immersive deambulation for the street and public space. Inspired by the platforms of traditional fairground booths and by today’s streets, it brings together acrobatics, hand-balancing, physical clowning, and live music.
Two lunar travellers and a street musician arrive in a space, where people have gathered by invitation. One of the characters carries a wooden plank too large and too heavy for her. Some step closer to help her carry it. The plank circulate from hand to hand, reshaping the crowd. As more arms arrive to help, she steps onto it, supported by the spectators below. In this shared experience, we dive into a trip that shifts our perspectives and moves us closer to one another.
LA PLANCHE is a delicate journey with shared stakes, a small travelling piece of stage in search of balance and encounters. It celebrates lives on the road, solitary drams, empty squares, still and inner journeys.

Kaput is the first creation of the circus company PoleDuo Salami. On stage will be Camille Bekkers and Melvin Sikkens, both are Chinese pole artists. In this show they will play Piet and Liselotte. Piet and Liselotte share the stage every day, working in tandem. You’d think they’ve been through everything together. And yet, today the stage has quite a few surprises in store for them…
Today when they enter on stage, the pole is not there. They have no choice but to build it themselves and they will have to face this problem. It's a story about building it up, letting it fall and trying to keep it stable. They have a lot to deal with, but they want to show that giving up is not an option. Hopefully they have their walkie-talkie, to help in case of emergency.
